Capacity building on early warning and response to prevent violent extremism – UWRPC
The Upper West Regional Peace Council, under the Atlantic Corridor Project held a capacity building training program in the Wa East district on early warning and early response to prevent violent extremism. The goal of the project is to increase the awareness on threats of violence or incidence of extremist activities. At the training program, participants were equipped with requisite knowledge and skills on reporting early warning signs of violent extremism.
PWDs, CSOs, Traders, Farmers, youth, security agencies, women, traditional leaders, religious leaders and professional associations like hairdresser’s association tailors and dressmakers’ association benefited from the workshop from 29th to 30th November, 2023 at Funsi. The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) provided funding for the workshop.
