NPC AND KAF VISITS US AND SWISS EMBASSIES
The National Peace Council (NPC) together with some stakeholders have been hosting Peace Pacts for Presidential Candidates in the 2012, 2016 and 2020 general elections. For the 2024 general elections, the NPC has identified some key partners to work with in the Peace Pact for Presidential Candidates. One of these key partners is the Kofi Annan Foundation (KAF) an independent, not-for-profit organization founded by the late Kofi Annan (a Ghanaian and former UN Secretary General) whose mission is to help build peaceful, democratic and resilient societies.
On Friday, 1st March, 2024. The Executive Secretary of NPC, Mr. George Amoh, together with the Senior Advisor and KAF Representative to the European Union Mr. Sebastian F. W. Brack and Mr. Alexander Koomson, the Deputy Director in charge of Research, Monitoring and Evaluation at the National Peace Council visited the Embassies of the United Sates of America and Switzerland to hold discussions on partnerships for a peaceful 2024 general elections.
