Asante Akim Agogo Peace Walk Promotes Unity and Dialogue Ahead of 2024 Elections
The National Peace Council, in collaboration with the Ashanti Regional Peace Council, Agogo Local Council of Churches, Matumi A. Wobetumi Foundation, and various community groups, held the Asante Akim Agogo Peace Walk to promote peaceful elections and encourage dialogue across the community. This event brought together over 500 participants, including religious leaders, political representatives, youth groups, and local dignitaries, all united in their commitment to a peaceful electoral process.

The walk, which featured keynote addresses and a display of solidarity from diverse community sectors, aimed to raise awareness about the importance of peaceful elections. The Regional Executive Secretary of the Ashanti Regional Peace Council delivered a powerful keynote, stating, “As we prepare for the upcoming polls, let us encourage our followers, family, and friends to exercise their franchise in peace. We are one nation, and it is our collective responsibility to protect and preserve peace and democratic governance.”
Through this Peace Walk, the National Peace Council reaffirms its commitment to fostering an environment where every Ghanaian can exercise their rights peacefully and responsibly. By encouraging peaceful coexistence, respect for diverse views, and collaboration across institutions, we aim to ensure a stable and unified Ghana, before, during, and after the elections.
