RT. REV. COL JOHN KWAMINA OTOO(RTD)BOARD MEMBER
Rt. Rev. Col. John Kwamina Otoo (Rtd) is the immediate past diocesan Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Sekondi. He was consecrated Bishop by the Most Rev. Dr. Justice Offei Akrofi, the then primate and metropolitan Archbishop of the Church of Province of West Africa (CPWA) and Bishop of Accra Diocese and assisted by 8 Bishops of the province at St. Stephen’s Anglican Church, Tema in January, 2006.
Bishop Otoo is a retired army chaplain of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF). He served GAF for twenty-five years and rose to the rank of Colonel and became the Chaplain General/Director of Religious Affairs at the General Headquarters, Burma Camp, Accra.
Bishop Col. Otoo served on three occasion with the United Nations interim force in Lebanon (UNIFIL). In all the peacekeeping duties in Lebanon, Bishop Otoo did not only serve Ghana as a Battalion Chaplain but also as the Battalions Humanitarian Officer for the refugees in the area of operations and a member of the conflict resolution committee.
