Prof. Nana SKB Asante, Omanhene of Asante Asokore is a legal practitioner with LL. B (Hons) from Nottingham, LL.M from London and a Doctoral Juridical Science from Yale University Law School. He has served as an Attorney with the World Bank. He also served as Solicitor General and Deputy Attorney General of Ghana. Nana was Chief Legal Adviser and a Director at the UN Centre on Transitional Corporation New York. He is also an active international arbitrator, a former member of the ICC Court of International Arbitration, Paris and a Co- Founder and Chairman of the Ghana Arbitration Centre and founding President on the Institute of International Negotiations.

He is a Fellow of the World Academy of Arts and Sciences; Honorary Fellow of the Society of Advanced Legal Studies, UK; Fellow and Past President of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences; Life Member of Clare Hall, Cambridge University; and Chairman of Advisory Council of the newly-established Ghana Institute of Advanced Legal Studies. He is a recipient of the Ghana National Book Award for Distinguished Writers and the National Award of Order of the Volta, Officer Category, for public service. He is Hon. Chancellor of Almond Institute and Graduate School of Governance and Leadership Accra. He was a member of the immediate past Governing board of the National Peace Council.
