Inspire Inclusion – the role of the ladies in the Security Service and the National Peace Council in peacebuilding before, during and after the 2024 election.
The Gender Unit of the National Peace Council had an engagement with the Fire Service Ladies Association on 19th March as part of the celebration of the 2024 International Women’s Day. The theme for the event was Inspire Inclusion – the role of the ladies in the Security Service and the National Peace Council in peacebuilding before, during and after the 2024 election.
Her Eminence Mrs Joana Adzoa Opare in her opening remark said the role of Ladies in the Security Service and the National Peace Council in peacebuilding before, during and after the 2024 election is crucial. Both entities can contribute to building trust, and community relations, ensuring security and preventing violence through proactive engagement with communities.
The leadership and some members of the Immigration Ladies Association (IMMILAC) also participated in the event.
