Promoting Peaceful Coexistence in Diversity: Central Regional Peace Council’s Engagement with Kromanste Methodist Basic School
On the 8th of February 2023, the Central Regional Peace conducted a transformative peace education session at Kromantse Methodist Basic School. The focus of the session was “Peaceful Coexistence in Diversity,” with an emphasis on fostering tolerance, forgiveness, and justice among students. The engagement aimed to instil values that promote harmonious relationships among students and staff, fostering an environment of unity and understanding.
The Council’s presentation included practical examples and interactive discussions to reinforce the importance of embracing diversity and resolving conflicts through tolerance and forgiveness. Students actively participated in discussions, gaining insights into the role of these principles in maintaining a peaceful and inclusive learning environment.
The collaborative effort between the Central Regional Peace Council and Kromantse Methodist Basic School exemplified a commitment to nurturing a culture of peace, providing students with essential tools to navigate Ghana as well as the Central Region marked by diversity, understanding and respect.
