Central Regional Peace Council, Cape Coast- Ghana, in collaboration with the Adventist Preparatory School in Ewim, Cape Coast, has launched a peace education initiative dubbed “Peaceful Coexistence in Diversity.” Held on 25th June 2025, the project aimed to instill foundational values of peace such as tolerance, forgiveness, and justice in school children. The engagement focused on helping pupils understand the importance of non-violent communication and equipping them to resolve disputes respectfully.
Dr. Charles Ohene Amoh, Regional Executive Secretary of CRPC, urged pupils to embrace peace from a young age, emphasizing that today’s children are tomorrow’s peacebuilders. Miss Barbara Mwinkom Yabom, Programmes Manager, encouraged students to listen and forgive, stressing that true strength lies in understanding others.
The event brought together staff and pupils of the Adventist Preparatory School and reinforced the National Peace Council’s role in nurturing a culture of peace in Ghana’s schools.
