The Ashanti Regional paid a courtesy call on the Central Commander and the 4BN Commander of the Ghana Armed Forces. The meeting focused on deepening collaboration between the Military and the Council to safeguard peace and security in the region. The Commanders commended the Council’s tireless efforts before, during, and after the elections, and assured of their continuous support. Key issues discussed included community tensions, particularly in Obuasi, and the challenges posed by the proliferation of small arms.

Together, we reaffirmed our shared commitment to promoting dialogue, engaging traditional and religious leaders, and working hand-in-hand to preserve peace in our beloved Ghana.
