The Western North Regional Peace Council held a peace education and sensitization programme at #Akontombra Senior High School to raise awareness on violence prevention, illegal mining (galamsey), and the Vigilantism and Related Offences Act (#Act999).

Over 100 students participated in the engagement aimed at promoting peaceful coexistence and responsible behavior in schools.

Most Rev. Samuel Nkuah-Boateng reminded students that “you are the change makers of today… let this be the beginning of a journey where each of us becomes a messenger of peace.”

The WNRPC commends the students and staff of Akontombra SHS for their enthusiasm and pledges continued efforts in youth-focused peacebuilding.
