Project Objective

The Central Regional Peace Council (CRPC) organized a public education program on “Chieftaincy and Land Conflicts in the Central Region: Seeking Peaceful Solutions through Dialogue.”
The initiative sought to raise awareness on the prevalence, causes, and impacts of chieftaincy and land-related disputes, while promoting peaceful mechanisms for preventing and resolving such conflicts.

Expected Outcomes

The program aimed to:

  • Increase public understanding of the root causes and consequences of chieftaincy and land conflicts.

  • Promote the use of dialogue, mediation, succession planning, and proper land documentation as sustainable conflict resolution approaches.

  • Encourage collaboration among traditional authorities, community members, and state institutions to ensure lasting peace in the region.

Keynote Address

Delivering the keynote address, Rt. Rev. Richardson Aboagye Andam emphasized the importance of unity and dialogue in conflict prevention, stating that:
