National Peace Council preaches Tolerance in Schools

The National Peace Council (NPC) has as part of its efforts to deepen peace in the school environment engaged students on inculcating tolerance, respects and coexisting peacefully with others.

The programme was spearheaded by the Capacity Development and Outreach Directorate of the Council, which engaged the students at Margaret Mary Senior High Technical School and the Kinbu Senior High Technical Schools.

Mrs. Janet Dedei Sarney-Kuma, Director, Capacity Development and Outreach, NPC speaking to student on the mandate of the National Peace Council, charged the students to be peace loving, tolerant in order to eschew violence.

She shared some practical ways of managing conflicts at among themselves as well as highlighted some key steps to seek redress if any of them were being bullied or harassed.
