Bono Regional Peace Council Holds Dialogue on Chieftaincy Succession Challenges
The Bono Regional Peace Council (BRPC) convened a one-day Reflection and Consultative Dialogue with key stakeholders to address challenges associated with chieftaincy succession in the Bono Region.
The engagement brought together Chiefs, Queen Mothers, Members of the Regional Security Council (REGSEC), Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs), Religious Bodies, and other relevant stakeholders.
Held on Wednesday, 28th January 2026, the dialogue focused on reviewing key challenges and emerging trends in chieftaincy succession disputes across the region. Participants also deliberated on practical, stakeholder-driven recommendations aimed at preventing, managing, and resolving succession-related conflicts.
The initiative forms part of the Peace Council’s broader mandate to promote dialogue, strengthen traditional governance systems, and sustain peace and social cohesion in the Bono Region.
