SUSAN ARYEETEYBOARD MEMBER

Susan Aryeetey is the Executive Director for FIDA-Ghana, where she oversees strategic programmes on access to justice and gender-based violence prevention. As a gender and human rights specialist with over 19 years of experience, Sunsan focuses on advocates for women empowerment, and marginalized communities in Ghana and beyond.
She led the impactful “My Body, My Wealth” campaign and has collaborated with UNFPA on disability-inclusive data initiatives. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she helped develop legal support platforms for vulnerable groups. Susan has worked with key organizations including ActionAid, UNAIDS, and UNFPA, with contributions spanning gender analysis, policy development, and training programmes.
Her work extends to advocacy, capacity-building, facilitator, and resource mobilization. She has played a critical role in legislative reviews and national policy dialogues and influenced reforms that enhance access to justice for women and girls.
She holds a Master’s in International Human Rights Law from Oxford University, a Certificate in Human Rights Advocacy from Columbia University, a certificate in crisis counselling. She is also a product of the Ghana Institute of Journalism. Her academic background enriches her contributions to gender justice and human rights work. Susan remains deeply committed to advancing equity and inclusion across all sectors.
