National Peace Council(NPC) Executive Secretary Sworn-In as LGCRA Ministerial Advisory Board Member

The National Peace Council, Executive Secretary, Dr. George Amoh, was sworn-in as a member of the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs (LGCRA) Advisory Board.

The Minister of Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs, Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim inaugurating the Advisory Board stated that the Board “is established to provide strategic advice, strengthen policy direction and ensure participatory decision making that reflect the aspirations of Ghanaians at all levels”.

The Board, he averred, “sets a platform for dialogue, collaboration and shared responsibility, helping us as a ministry to remain focused, responsive and accountable in the execution of our mandate, and in coordinating decentralization at different local governance and managing chieftaincy and religious affairs as well as improving service delivery at the Metropolitan, municipal and district levels”.

The other Members of the Board include Deputy Minister for LGCRA, Chief Director of the Ministry, Heads of the National Development Planning Commission, Local Government Studies as well as representatives of some religious groups in the country.
