National Peace Council Celebrates Outgoing Dutch Envoy to Ghana

The National Peace Council (NPC) has acknowledged and celebrated the contributions of H.E. Ambassador Jeroen Verheul, The Royal Netherlands Ambassador to Ghana, to peacebuilding in the Country.

The NPC Executive Secretary, Dr. George Amoh on behalf of the Council presented a gift to the envoy in honour of his invaluable support to Council through the Catholic Relief Service (CRS) for the implementation of the POVETSA project Phase I & II that aimed at strengthening national cohesion, resilience in the Ghana’s border regions and sustainable peace.

The Ambassador at a brief farewell ceremony, acknowledged the essence of peace, stability and social cohesion as well as the vital role NPC plays in sustaining Ghana’s peace.

While wishing the Council well; he reminisces fond memories of the NPC and other partners in Ghana he would forever treasure.
