Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs, Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim, has assured the National Peace Council (NPC) of his readiness to work with it to facilitate mechanisms to resolve the chieftaincy conflicts in the country.

He commended the Council for its work in sustaining peace in the country and encouraged them to continue upholding the truth in all circumstances to enhance peace in the country.

This was made when Dr. George Amoh, Executive Secretary (ES), led a team of Senior Management to pay a courtesy on Minister in Accra.

The meeting centered on strengthening collaboration with the ministry to facilitate resolution of the traditional and Chieftaincy related conflicts.

Other areas of collaboration discussed included Capacity building for Regional Coordinating Directors and the new MMDCEs as well as Creating Desk Offices at District Offices to collect Conflict data.
