Oti Regional Peace Council Holds Community Engagement on Non-Violence and Social Cohesion in Kpasa
The Oti Regional Peace Council on Thursday, 19th February 2026, convened a Community Engagement in Kpasa, within the Nkwanta North District, on the theme Non-Violence, Youth Inclusion, and Social Cohesion.
The engagement brought together Chiefs and Queen Mothers, the District Chief Executive (DCE), religious leaders, representatives of the Ghana Police Service, Assembly Members, youth representatives, tribal groups, and other key stakeholders across the district.
Participants engaged in frank and constructive discussions focused on promoting non-violence, strengthening intergroup trust, and deepening collaboration among institutions and community actors. The dialogue provided a platform for shared reflections on local challenges and collective strategies for sustaining peace.
The engagement reaffirmed a shared responsibility among stakeholders to prioritize dialogue over division and to work collectively toward lasting peace and inclusive development in Nkwanta North.
